We all know that chair yoga is amazing for those who may have mobility issues or those looking for a gentler practice, but did you know a chair can also be used to take your practice deeper?
Take time for yourself with this Yin and Meditation workshop.
This session is for yoga students of all levels who would like to take their Yin practice deeper, by exploring longer holds and long release, and for meditation students who would like to open the body and calm the breath prior to sitting meditation.
BKS Iyengar asserts that this asana stretches the shoulders, legs, spine and whole body; builds strength throughout the body, particularly the arms, legs, and feet; relieves fatigue and rejuvenates the body; improves the immune system, digestion and blood flow to the sinuses, and calms the mind and lifts the spirits. But it sucks if you don’t know the ins and outs of the pose. Often called a resting posture, it can seem anything but.
Join Tamara for 2 hours of hot stone yin, where you will enjoy a slow practice of opening the body in various yin shapes while also encouraging opening and energy movement with strategically placed hot stones.

Developing A Yoga Practice While Living With Chronic Pain
Chronic pain sucks, and those of us living with the hidden illnesses that cause chronic pain know the vicious circle of not wanting to move yet acknowledging that movement greatly diminishes the pain sensations. And it’s not just the pain. It’s also the side effects of exhaustion, weakness, and mood swings, to name a few.
