Tamara’s sense of humour made every class a joy. I learned so much, tried so many new things, and really stretched beyond what I thought I could do. Spoiled me for any other yoga class.

earthMonkey Yoga is a small, boutique style yoga studio and yurt, that focuses on deepening the practice, therapeutic movement, and teacher training. I work with small groups of students, from all levels of practice to bring mindfulness and awareness to their breath and movement.

From private therapeutic sessions to one-on-on teacher training, I work with you where you are, whether it is inviting healing into your body, or exploring the details of individual shapes in order to support the progression of your personal practice.

Some of our programs include:

Therapeutic Yoga .:. This program is a private 3 class session that focuses on relieving pain while creating space in the body. We use yoga shapes and movements, along with breath and mindfulness to bring awareness to the areas we are inviting to heal.

One-on-one 200hr Yoga Immersion and Teacher Training .:. Here at earthMonkey Yoga we believe that yoga studies and teacher training should be accessible to whomever is committed to the path of yoga. It should also not be restricted to those who reside in a specific income bracket or who have time on their hands to dedicate to intensive or sequential weekend training.

50hr Yin Yoga Immersion and Teacher Training (Oct. 2025) .:. Whether you are a new or seasoned yin practitioner, or a teacher interested in learning and practicing the subtleties of creating and holding a yin space, this session is for you.

Anyone can learn the poses, but it takes an understanding of what the practice can bring to the breath, body, and mind in order to facilitate the softening and yielding required in your, or your student's, practice.

Additional Programs

  • Developing A Yoga Practice While Living With Chronic Pain

Chronic pain sucks, and those of us living with the hidden illnesses that cause chronic pain know the vicious circle of not wanting to move yet acknowledging that movement greatly diminishes the pain sensations. And it’s not just the pain. It’s also the side effects of exhaustion, weakness, and mood swings, to name a few.

This program gives you the opportunity to work in a group as well as one on one with Tamara to discuss and develop what works for your body, your pain levels, and your practice. This program will give you the knowledge and comfort level to make daily and appropriate decisions for your practice regardless of your pain levels.

  • Yoga Teacher/Facilitator Mentoring

Are you a new yoga teacher, or someone who wants to get back into teaching after a long break? Maybe you are experiencing frustration with your practice, because teaching is part of our practice.

If so, consider one or more mentoring sessions with Tamara.

We can sit and chat, or even meet up in the studio to discuss sequencing, approach, and perhaps break down shapes and work on approach.

Think of it as peer support for yoga teachers!

    Mentoring sessions are by donation.
