A Yin practice focuses on release using time, gravity, and patience. It is, for the most part, practiced on the floor interspersed with natural movement. The postures are held anywhere from 2 to 10 minutes, supported by the breath and any required or chosen props. Targeting the fascia and connective tissue surrounding our joints, the poses are held in a space of surrender, where students practice quieting the breath, the body, and the mind in the face of discomfort.

A yin / yang practice combines the active, dynamic aspects of Yang yoga with the passive, calming practice of Yin yoga. It offers a balanced approach, targeting both the muscles and deeper connective tissues to improve flexibility, joint mobility, and overall well-being.

Please note that if there are no pre-registrations by 7:00 pm Monday, class will not run.
